Offering innovative fiber optic cables, CommScope’s family of fiber optic designs use LightScope ZWP®
singlemode glass as a standard. This optical fiber cable provides 30% more usable transmission spectrum than standard singlemode and is often activated for demanding and critical applications required by business and commercial accounts now serviced by cable operators.
CommScope has developed key constructions of fiber optic cables specifically to be used throughout HFC communication hierarchies. Our newest fiber optic cable offering is a family of stranded loose tube cables using dry water blocking technology and reduced diameter buffer tubes. These cables are completely gel free, with dry water blocking elements in each buffer tube as well as over the cable core.
Installers prefer CommScope’s dry cable designs because it eliminates messy cable flooding gels along with the need to use potentially hazardous gel-cleaning solvents. It also reduces cable prep time and keeps gel from getting on clothes, workbenches, or in splicing equipment. These cables are a great alternative to standard flooded loose tube cables, and meet the key industry specification requirements such as ANSI/ICEA D-87-640, Telcordia GR-20-CORE, issue 2, and EN 187105.

CommScope believes
in both high quality and quality assurance, and we understand
that “quality” is just a word until it is proven. That
is why we developed WebTrak™, a service that gives you
online access to obtain performance results for our
fiber optic cables. By using the 11 digit serial number
printed on the fiber optic cable, you can receive
the test report for that specific reel. Please click
here and follow the easy step-by-step instructions. |
